It is with deep sadness that the East-West Center learned of the recent passing of Dr. Betty Moore Bullard (1967, 1975). Dr. Bullard was the recipient of the Distinguished Alumni Award in 1981. She remained a dedicated and committed supporter of the East-West Center and our programs. Dr. Bullard was instrumental in founding and raising funds for the ’60’s Student Scholarship Endowment fund. Hi. Welcome to our revamped East-West Center Association (EWCA) Discussion Board. This discussion board is designed to facilitate professional interaction by making better use of the internet. We’ll be posting on various categories for you to comment on if you would like to do so. We will be posting on a variety of topics from the 2008 EWCA International Conference to be held in Bali, Indonesia this November to Chapter activities. The EWCA Executive Board recently met on March 20. The phone conference call linked alumni board members in Virginia, Atlanta, Hawaii, Malaysia, Indonesia, Bangladesh, and Mumbai. Discussion focused on progress in implementing the EWCA Strategic Plan (general consensus was we are making pretty good progress) and how to activate chapters. Continue Reading »
